Mission of the Castle Club
We want to help the next generation of hunters find a safe and supervised path to a sustainable lifestyle. The Club does not intend to make any profit from membership fees, all funds are used to maintain the hunting properties, supply bait, and upgrade facilities for expanded club activities. We provide a welcoming and friendly environment for hunting, agriculturally based recreational, heritage and social activities for all skill levels. To foster interest in Canadian agricultural heritage, volunteerism and a sense of community in all areas, including program development, sustainability, new membership recruitment and leadership.
Deer Hunting
Castle Club offers sustainable and supervised deer hunting at various club locations on over 2000 acres of private land in Eastern Ontario, all within a 3-hour drive of Toronto. We offer rifle, archery and black powder hunting that is supervised by senior club members. Our senior members do the scouting, baiting and preparation for the hunt and we
cater to new hunters with limited or no experience. We will provide basic training and support for the entire hunting process, including processing the harvest and offering our best venison recipes. Deer hunting is offered at our established camps located in the following wildlife management unit (WMU) locations 60, 61, 73, 68A, we are hunting in Madoc and/or Marmora in 2025.
The exact location of your hunt camp will be decided by club management based upon the deer activity on our cameras and the feedback from our members. We have various options for your deer hunting accomodations, all of will be off grid, cabin style living with 4 people sharing a renovated off grid cabin. Our senior club member will provide basic training, escort you to a predetermined private hunting blind, and keep in contact with you during the entire duration of the hunt. Don't worry, we will also be there to show you how to process your deer when you have a successful hunt. Butcher costs, transporting your deer to the butcher and any optional taxidermy costs are extra fees to your membership.
